During your appointment, we will discuss your hair goals, evaluate your hair's health and density, determine if K-Tips are the best option for you, and create a customized extension plan. We will review desired length, volume, color matching, maintenance requirements, pricing, and the amount of hair needed to achieve your desired look. This appointment also allows time to address any questions and ensure your natural hair is healthy enough for installation. A consultation is required prior to booking a K-Tip installation service.

ALL first time clients MUST book this service if you are coming to Hair by Jay Studio to receive a silk press for the first time. This is a dedicated service designed specifically for new clients to go over hair history, concerns and goals you want to achieve with your hair. We will go over product recommendations as well as hair care regimens to maintain your hair at home. This package includes moisturizing shampoo, hydrating steam and conditioner with scalp massage. Hair will be trimmed 2 inches or less; and finished with either straight silk press or body curls. ***Please make sure your hair is properly detangled (especially if you are coming out of a protective hairstyle), there will be a detangling fee if hair takes longer than 15 mins to comb through and detangle. Please allow for time as service could take up to 3 hours.

Seborrheic dermatitis is a common skin condition that mainly affects your scalp. It causes scaly patches, inflamed skin and stubborn dandruff. Scalp is treated with a tonic serum, exfoliated with scalp device, and thoroughly cleansed with a detoxifying scalp scrub to remove all buildup. Followed by shampoo, steam treatment and conditioner. Additional treatments will need to be added if desired. Style is finished with a blowout ONLY, if hot tools are desired it will need to be added on if this service is not already booked with a silk press service.
