This is a virtual consultation. Time to discuss your hair goals, hair color, any hair issues prior to your appointment. **Required for all color hair services. Virtual consultations are offered via phone, text and FaceTime for convenience. You will receive a text after booking and be asked to provide photo of your hair only prior to coming into the shop.

ALL first time clients MUST book this service if you are coming to Hair by Jay Studio to receive a silk press for the first time. This is a dedicated service designed specifically for new clients to go over hair history, concerns and goals you want to achieve with your hair. We will go over product recommendations as well as hair care regimens to maintain your hair at home. This package includes moisturizing shampoo, hydrating steam and conditioner with scalp massage. Hair will be trimmed 2 inches or less; and finished with either straight silk press or body curls. ***Please make sure your hair is properly detangled (especially if you are coming out of a protective hairstyle), there will be a detangling fee if hair takes longer than 15 mins to comb through and detangle. Please allow for time as service could take up to 3 hours.

Silk Press- Returning Clients ONLY

Shampoo, scalp massage, moisturizing conditioner and blow dry. Style is finished off with silky straight press. ***Please make sure your hair is properly detangled (especially if you are coming out of a protective hairstyle/ braids), there will be a detangling fee if hair takes longer than 15 mins to comb through and detangle.

Blowout

Shampoo, condition and blow dry with round brush finish. No curling iron or flat iron is used in this service. ** Please book the appropriate silk press service if you would like hair to be finished using hot tools.

Keratin Treatment

Enjoy up to 5 months of smooth, shiny, manageable hair with signature Natural Keratin Smoothing Treatment for sleek strands. Instantly repair damage, strengthen hair, block humidity and eliminate frizz all in one visit! **Pricing is based on length and density of your hair, please choose the correct service. Haircut

Shampoo, scalp massage, conditioner and blowout.

Curly Haircut

Hair and curls are custom cut to achieved desired shape and style that is meant to be worn curly. Client hair is then cleansed, condition and finished off as wash n go, with curly products to achieved curly wash and go look with a diffuser or hooded dryer. Recommend to add on Curl Restoration Therapy Treatment for ultimate curly look!

Wash & Go Style

Hair is deeply cleansed, conditioned and styled with products to enhance your curly tresses! **The curl restoration therapy treatment is a great add on to restore curl pattern and really make your waves/curls pop!

Curl Restoration Therapy

Salon-strength treatment to replenish essential nutrients and reinforce the hair shaft, so curls are left healthier, more defined and frizz-free. Penetrates deep into the cuticle, replacing the proteins and 14 amino acids critical to curl formation.

Detangle

This will be added to any service that takes 20 minutes and longer to detangle. For clients whose hair is not detangled and requires extra time to detangle and perform service. *** This is a starting price and increases if more time is required.

Accent Highlights - Pop of Color

A quick way to add dimension to your hair color with 10 - 12 foils around the face. Service includes standard blowout. If silk press, curls or trim is desired, please add to service when booking.

Partial Highlights

Foils are applied to top half of head from ear to ear, toner is included. Service includes standard blowout. If silk press, curls or trim is desired, please add to service when booking.

Full Highlights

Balayage

$30.00 deposit required

A freehand hair coloring technique that creates a natural, sun-kissed look by painting highlights onto the hair's surface. Unlike traditional foil highlights, balayage provides a softer, more blended, and less structured result. This technique is suitable for various hair types and textures. Toner is included. Service is finished with a traditional blowout using round brush. Any additional curling, silk press or trim services is an add on.

Root Blend/Shadow Root/ Root Smduge

*This is an add on service. Hair coloring technique that blends the natural root color with lighter, highlighted hair, creating a soft, natural transition and reducing the need for frequent touch ups. Adds depth and dimension to your hair color

Full Root Touch Up

Root touch up to cover 1 inch or less of grey hair.

Express Root Touchup

Root touch up to cover 1 inch or less of grey hair. This color service process is for someone on the go! Color processes in 15 mins and still last 4-6 weeks! Includes standard blowout only, any additional services will need to be added on.

All Over Hair Color

$25.00 deposit required for new clients

Single process hair color from root to ends. Price increases depending on length and density of hair and amount of bowls used.

Platinum Pixie

This service is for hair that is 4 inches or less. Blonding is done from root to tip, toner is included and K18 is REQUIRED for this service (please add on). Consultation is REQUIRED prior to appointment

Gloss/ Semi Permanent Color Rinse

*This is a add on service. Add shine & intesify color with an application from roots to ends of hair that lasts 6-8 weeks. Please book consultation prior to appointment

Double Process Custom Color

$30.00 deposit required

Consultation is Required before booking. This service is for any CUSTOM COLOR service. Hair will be prelightened before depositing color/colors. You can receive multiple colors for this service. Price increases with length, density and amount of colors desired, discussed during consultation

Add-on Trim

Trimming less than 2 inches of hair. This is ONLY if you are adding a trim to another service. **If you only want a trim, you will need to book the Haircut service

Add-On HAIRCUT

Cutting more than 2 inches to shape and change your style completely. **This service cannot be booked alone. It is an add on service. If only a haircut is desired please book the appropriate haircut service.

Instant Porosity Treatment

Infused with provitamin B5 and Wheat Protein, helps smooth cuticle damage and condition over-porous hair, without added weight. Balances pH and equalize hairs porosity. Controls static, frizz and leaves hair conditioned and smooth. Can be added to any service!

Exfoliating Detox Scalp Treatment

Seborrheic dermatitis is a common skin condition that mainly affects your scalp. It causes scaly patches, inflamed skin and stubborn dandruff. Scalp is treated with a tonic serum, exfoliated with scalp device, and thoroughly cleansed with a detoxifying scalp scrub to remove all buildup. Followed by shampoo, steam treatment and conditioner. Additional treatments will need to be added if desired. Style is finished with a blowout ONLY, if hot tools are desired it will need to be added on if this service is not already booked with a silk press service.

Tape In Extensions

Consultation required. Hair extensions are not provided. Technique for adding length and volume to your natural hair. Seamless, versatile extension method using two 1-inch wide wefts sandwiched together to your natural hair. All of your hair is left out and blended with the extensions, can last for 6–8 weeks with proper care, and are lightweight and discreet.

Traditional Sew In with leaveout

$50.00 deposit required

Includes: Shampoo, moisturizing conditioner, braid down, oil, installation, and style. 2-3 bundles are recommended, hair is not provided.

Sew-in Maintenance

This service maintains the health of your scalp and extensions for long-lasting wear. Included Clarifying Wash and conditioner, hair is blown dry and Weft Maintenance performed if needed. Hair is then straightened, curled or styled to wear curly if desired for curly bundles.

Sew In Weave Takedown

This service includes sew-in take down, braids undone, clarifying wash and moisturizing conditioning and blowout. (NO STYLE) **If sew in was not installed by me there will be an upcharge.

Sew-in Take Down & Reinstall

Flexi Or Perm Rod Set

Hair is set in flexi rods or perm rods to add curl and/or texture. This style creates voluminous bouncy curls! A great alternative to direct thermal heat and a great way to "switch it up" and give your curls a new look! **Pricing based on length and density of hair

Mold & Style (Short Hair)

Shampoo & Style of short hair (usually 4 inches or less relaxed). May require a blow out or mold. Finished with curling iron if desired

Virgin Relaxer

Permanently straightening 2 or more inches of hair that has never been chemically treated. Cut and style not included, please add on any additional services.

Relaxer Retouch with Style

A retouch 6-8 weeks after your chemical relaxer on up to 1-inch of new growth to keep your roots soft and smooth. Mold & style / Flat iron style included.

Individual Crochet Locs

Your natural hair is braided into individual plats and then the crochet loc extensions are added to plats to resemble a natural loc extensions. Crochet extensions are not included, please reach out to me if you need recommendations on the type of hair to purchase and how many packs. *Please select correct service if you would like shampoo to be included. Otherwise please arrive with your hair freshly shampooed, detangled and blown out straight for your install.

Crochet Braids

Clients hair is braided down. Your hair of choice is then crocheted onto braids and styled. Hair extensions are not included. Most crochet styles will require at least 5 packs of hair. *Please select correct service if you would like shampoo to be included. Otherwise please arrive with your hair freshly shampooed, detangled and blown out straight for your install.

Takedown Install

This service is ONLY for clients that I have done an install on. I will not remove installs done by other hairstylists. Service Includes removal of install/braids, clarifying shampoo and moisturizing conditioner, blowdry ONLY with no styling. If additional styling is desired please add on the service.

Two Strand Twist Out

Shampoo, moisturizing conditioner, and two strand twist using products to moisturize and define hair. Pricing increases based on density of hair, length and size of twists.
